Chrysanthemum puerh (guk pou - 菊普)

Inspired by cherished childhood memories of tea houses in Canton, where my grandfather would always order a cup of "菊普" (chrysanthemum and pu’er) tea, I’ve created this special kit for you to experience this traditional Cantonese tea ritual. With this kit, you can craft your perfect blend, allowing you to enjoy the timeless combination of cooked pu’er and chrysanthemum flowers just the way you like it.

Inside the kit, I’ve paired premium grade 5 loose-leaf pu’er from the Menghai Tea Factory with top-shelf chrysanthemums from Tongxiang in Zhejiang province. The result is a beautifully balanced tea that brings together the rich, earthy depth of aged pu’er and the delicate floral sweetness of chrysanthemum.

When steeped, this tea reveals a gentle yet invigorating aroma, with notes of soft, aged wood and a subtle floral sweetness. The chrysanthemum’s light, refreshing brightness complements the smooth, mellow richness of the pu’er, creating a cup that is both comforting and invigorating, with a depth that lingers on the palate. Perfect for pairing with dim sum, light pastries, or enjoying on its own, this harmonious blend creates an exquisite tea experience.
