Dive into the world of traditional Chao Zhou style dancong oolong tea with this very small batch (2kg) of single bush Jiang Mu. Hailing from the higher part of Wu Dong Mountain (>900m above sea), these spring 2018 leaves have been roasted for 20 hours over wood charcoal resulting in a typycal example of how people from Chao Zhou and Feng Huang like their dancong. The tea starts of with a strong roasting taste (that will help the tea to age), a strong tea taste with a low to medium sweetness complemented with a full-body liquor and with that slight biterness characteristic of strong tea taste.
The tea drinker will have to wait over 6 brews before the tea starts to show is aromatic profile but once it does, the flowery aromas are bold, yet elegant, with a slight sweetness and a long aftertaste. This is a true gong fu dancong tea, just like it is drunk in it birthplace.
